The ONE GOD YAHWEH eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. God reveals Himself in Scripture this way. It is how He relates to us and for our salvation. These three administrative functions are revealed to us in the Bible. The reality that Jesus is our Intercessor is proof that without the Trinity, there is no eternal sacrifice.
Furthermore, the Holy Spirit is sent in Christ's place to lead, comfort, teach, and empower us. These pronouns and offices of the Godhead are authorized by Christ Himself. Hence, to deny the personhood of the Father, Son or Holy Spirit is to deny God.
the divinity of jesus christ
He is the living word manifest in the flesh. Jesus not only claims to be Yahweh, but Old Testament prophecies identify the Son as the begat of the Father. In other words, He has both a human nature and a divine nature and is the fullness of the Godhead made bodily. Yahweh made bodily, expressing God's omnipresence, capable of existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus as God in the flesh, according to Scripture, provides a perfect atonement before the Father. He can give eternal life, and power over sin, death, and the grave. He is 100% God and 100% man. God Himself had to enter humanity, to enter into death, and to destroy him that had power over death. All men will give an account before Christ.
the word of god
The word of God is God-breathed and God-inspired. It directs and sets our way of life, our conduct, our faith, and reality. Context is what was intended when written. Principle is how we apply it today and what we can learn from it. God's word was written by 40 authors - some of whom never met each other. The Holy Spirit penned the word through them divinely and prophetically from the very heart of God. The word of God is full of examples, laws, covenants, teachings, history, and real events that demonstrate who God is, what He has done, and what is required of us. The law of God teaches us what is wrong and right, and it is the immutable counsel of God by which the world will be judged. God means what He says, and His word is the final authority for our lives.
THE APOSTLES DOCTRINE
The book of Acts is the blueprint for the New Testament Church. The Apostles' teachings are authoritative, and the commandments delivered to them are for the teaching of the nations. As they did through the power of the Holy Ghost, so must we: steadfastly in the Apostles' doctrine, in prayer, breaking of bread, and fellowship, from house to house, and having all things in common.
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the Good News of eternal salvation by the grace of God. The Gospel can bring salvation and new life to those who believe and is the only remedy for the sins of mankind. The Gospel is the Good News we are commanded to preach and share with the lost. It is also what we must continue in by faith as the Gospel is the only way mankind can be reconciled back to the Father.
ETERNAL LIFE BY FAITH
Believers are given eternal life in their souls, and their names are written in the Book of Life when they believe in the Gospel. Eternal life, present and future tense, is imparted to the believer by faith as the believer is kept in faith by the power of God. The believer is cleansed by the blood of Jesus and justified by faith in Jesus Christ. Eternal life is granted to all who believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
As revealed in the book of Acts, the Holy Ghost baptism is a subsequent experience given to the believer for a new dimension of the Holy Spirit. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues, empowers the believer for holy living and further spiritual empowerment. The Holy Ghost baptism is a promise, and believers are commanded to be baptized with the Holy Ghost to be witnesses for Christ with power.
five fold offices
The resurrected Christ has ascended, and He gave gifts unto men. The office of the Apostle is both pre and post-resurrection. The pre-resurrection Apostles are those who walked with Christ, and the post-resurrection Apostles are those with the Apostolic gift after the order of Paul. The only exception is that post-resurrection Apostles cannot write scripture as Paul did. Nonetheless, they carry the Apostolic gift and anointing hosted in one body, operating all gifts and offices to advance the kingdom. Prophets also exist as a distinct office, and so do the office of evangelist, pastor, and teacher.
international missioNs
Believers have different measures assigned to them. Nevertheless, we are all called to some measure of mission involvement, whether in the community or internationally. Mission work is our call and duty, a charge given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. Mission work is carrying the gospel commissioned by the Lord to impact an area, demonstrating the kingdom, winning souls, and training up disciples.
THE CALL TO HOLINESS
Holiness is the standard for the believer as required and commanded by God. God makes His own holiness as the standard and example to follow. He influences us in holiness through the Word, His Spirit, and proper teaching. A life consecrated to God is one separate from sin, and ungodliness. A consecrated life is a sanctified and set-apart life unto the Lord. Holiness is growing in the nature and character of Christ.
CONTINUATION OF SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Spiritual gifts are administrated by the Holy Spirit and imparted to believers for the work of ministry and the building of the body of Christ. These gifts have not ceased, but at the return of Christ, they will not be needed. These gifts are necessary now to advance the kingdom of God and the Church. These gifts are to assist and enhance our ministering to others. Believers should develop and use their spiritual gifts to build the kingdom and do the work of the ministry.
THE CALL TO REPENTANCE
God calls all men to repent, to turn from their sins, and to put their faith in him. Repentance is a change of direction, a change of mind, a change of values. To accept a new way, a new direction that aligns with the way of God and His word. Worldly sorrow is not repentance. Godly sorrow is a conviction of truth that brings one to turn their hearts back to the Lord. Repentance is also a call for backsliders. Repentance is a command to preach in evangelism, calling people to turn to the Lord.
RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD
The eternal hope for believers is that at the return of Christ, they will be caught up in the air, raptured, and given new immortal bodies, just like the glorious body of Jesus Himself. The believer has the seal of the Holy Spirit in him of present resurrection and resurrection in the future tense. The present tense is for believers to live in the class of Christ's resurrected life on earth as we grow in measure and stature, and the future tense pertains to eternal salvation.
deliverance and healing
Jesus came to deliver the sick, the oppressed, the captive, the bruised, and the possessed. Deliverance is for all who are oppressed by the devil. One may be delivered from self, struggles with sin, demon oppression, demon possession, demonic influences, witchcraft attacks, etc. A demon cannot possess a Christian who is filled with the Holy Spirit, but a Christian may be delivered from oppressive spirits that oppress the soul and body. This deliverance would require one with authority to pray for healing and break these powers off the believers who are under demonic ties and influences. Healing of the sick is also operative today. Salvation is the greatest form of deliverance. Deliverance here occurs in mind, body, or soul and is liberation from the captivity and influences of the enemy. Sanctification, following deliverance, will bring believers to maturity and liberty from the power of satan in their lives.
ETERNAL JUDGEMENT
There is a real heaven and a real hell. Hell is not for a day or a year but is eternal suffering void of the life of God. Hell is the consequence of the choices and lifestyle of an individual who lives in rebellion against God and is sentenced to eternal judgment. On the other hand, believers will receive eternal life and an eternal inheritance into the kingdom of God, with eternal rewards. Believers have the hope of eternal fellowship with God in His kingdom. Believers have exceeding joy for the eternal salvation provided for them. Nonetheless, there is urgency for the lost, and it is that if they deny Christ, they will be eternally condemned for their sins in the lake of fire. This is why we preach the Gospel urgently.
