MELVIN 

OVERSEER AND FOUNDER

Melvin is the founder and overseer of Acts Mission International.  In 2018,  the Lord Jesus Christ saved him from immense bondage and hardships brought by drug addictions and occult practices. Prior to experiencing salvation, Melvin earnestly sought God day and night but unfortunately pursued that through various religious practices and psychedelics. He was also involved in the fitness industry and given to steroid abuse, immense depression, trafficking, a homosexual lifestyle, and drug abuse, including meth. It was a life of corruption.  

He was saved miraculously in Newark, where he had a near-death experience in 2018. This near-death experience came through overdose and a satanic attack. It was while becoming unconscious that he saw hell, the reality of hell, and heard the eternal cries of the lost. Suddenly, on a cloudy day, a powerful light beamed from the sky, and the sun shone on him. He heard a voice say twice, "I am the Lord Jesus Christ." There he knew it was God speaking to him. He immediately followed the Lord and what appeared to be an angel, and was led to a pastor who was worshipping outside. As he approached, he saw fire surrounding the pastor, which caused him to remove and cast aside all beads, crystals, and all new-age symbols. The pastor told him that the Lord had suddenly woken him up to go and worship on the corner. Seeing Melvin's suffering in the spirit, the pastor told him, "The Lord has been testing you to come after him with all your heart," and stated that Melvin's life would change from that moment on.

Before leaving, the pastor showed him a picture of a Hispanic apostle and said that Melvin reminded him of that man of God. He prophesied that Melvin would travel and preach the word of God. Afterwards, the pastor prayed with him and instructed him to go home and pray, that the Lord was waiting there. That day, Melvin received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and repented, throwing all of his religious objects, drugs, and occult objects that he had been using in his attempt to find God. Thousands of dollars' worth of these things were removed. Now, Melvin is serving the Lord. He has founded Acts Mission International in obedience to the Lord's mandate and vision. 

Minister Melvin operates in the five-fold ministry as a young and growing apostle. Though he strongly emphasizes the need to seize through the intercessory ministry, evangelism, and commissioning, he also operates in the teaching capacity, prophetic anointing, and the grace of an equipping pastor to disciple and commission the body of Christ. During the pandemic, he was put into intensive consecrations by the Lord Jesus, wherein Acts Mission was committed to him through his encounters.

THE LORD JESUS appeared in a vision, walking in all white garments, showing him a fresh vineyard. In the vision, a dialogue occurred where he inquired of the Lord what was happening. The vision was clear; judgment was on the land, and God was giving new strategies and raising new ministries directly from Himself. The Lord planted a seed, and in the seed was the word 'ACTS'.  The Lord stated, "I am planting a Church that ACTS", and that was the beginning of a journey to fulfill that direct mandate from the Lord. While the churches shut down, he began to intercede heavily for the great commission, and the Lord came with this mandate. 

During that encounter, the Lord spoke Acts 26:18 over him, which states, "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." In this encounter, the word of the Lord came to him and said, "You will be an apostle to the nations" and He laid His hand upon him. A military badge of some ranking was placed on him, and that vision ended. Since then, the mission began to grow, and serious training and the mandate were committed to him.  

In 2024, Acts Mission International was officially established after Melvin's first mission trip. The Mission currently implements training and commissioning in the areas of the schools of evangelism, intercessors, prophetic development, as well as training ministers. Lastly, it also offers a school of foundations for believers. The mission strategy is to first establish a strong prayer hub in any new territory, train intercessors, and from that strong prayer environment, incorporate these other trainings, prayer meetings, and other forms of development for believers.
